Creating Confident Musicians

Creating Confident Musicians

Enjoying Making Music

This year, St Peter and St Paul CE Primary School’s music went online. But, once we were back in class, Year 2 enjoyed making music on chime bars bought through funding provided by The Jean Freedman Foundation. This has given Year 2 the ability to compose and accompany themselves, creating a year group of confident musicians. This is very exciting for the future of music in St Peter and St Paul.

Purchasing Guitars and Violins

We also purchased a set of guitars and a few violins, so that we did not have to rent anymore. We are pleased to report that we have increased our instrumental uptake. Lily and Ella (pictured) love their violin lessons.

Every Year Group Play an Instrument

Every year group from Y2 to Y6 play an instrument, and now thanks to the funding, we own our own class set of ukuleles.

This year we haven’t been able to do a live concert or enter any competitions, but we are very optimistic that thanks to the funding from The Jean Freedman Music Foundation we will continue to encourage our pupils to play music. Thank you.
