Funding Ensures Lessons Continue at Oasis Academy

Continuing Instrumental Lessons

The Jean Freedman Music Foundation funding has ensured that the children at Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue are able to continue with lessons from the music service for the academic year 2021-2022. It has also ensured that other instrumental lessons can continue in school.

Different Journeys

We have a violinist who is auditioning for the Yorkshire Young Musicians course at the Leeds Conservatoire, as well as students who have just started their instrumental journeys.

Orchestra and Folk Group

In September, we are hoping to start our orchestra and folk group again. We continued with lessons online during the pandemic, but are looking forward to being able to encourage more young people to take up an instrument. Every year group from Year 2 to Year 6 learns an instrument at Oasis Academy.

A Brighter Future for Music

The funding from the Jean Freedman Society has given our school more opportunities and has meant that the future is much brighter for music at Oasis Academy Henderson Avenue. Thank you.
