'Where children come first and everything we do must reflect this single goal.'
We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.
We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for.
The Governors and staff of Bridlington Nursery School believe that each child should be given the opportunity to reach the highest possible levels of attainment through the provision of a curriculum which offers appropriate experiences and activities within a happy and secure environment.
Our aims and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide and environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.
To value each child as a unique individual with his/her own needs, experiences and attitudes.
To develop in each child a sense of his/her own value and to encourage a spirit of independence and responsibility which allows each to take his/her place in the community.
To provide a relevant, well resourced curriculum which allows children to develop concepts, skills and knowledge in a meaningful way for them.
To ensure that areas of the curriculum are resourced in a way that provides all children with experiences and opportunities appropriate to their stage of development, giving equal opportunity to all.
To provide high quality learning opportunities so that children develop and achieve their full potential.
To encourage a spirit of enquiry, investigation and discovery through directed and free play.
To provide a safe, emotionally secure, warm and caring environment which at the same time offers stimulation, excitement and challenge.
To foster respect for all members of the Nursery School.
To recognise the unique contribution of all adults and to promote an atmosphere which allows team co-operation.
To develop effective partnership with parents and the community.
To involve the Governing Body in all aspects of the Nursery School.
